Preserving history for generations to come

The Cedar Creek Battlefield Foundation (CCBF) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization headquartered in Middletown, Virginia. The Foundation was formed in 1988 to acquire, protect, and preserve lands and physical objects relating to the Civil War Battle of Cedar Creek, and to interpret them for the educational benefit of scholars and the general public. Since its inception, the CCBF has acquired 308 acres of battlefield land in four separate purchases, with the debt retired on three of those purchases.

The Cedar Creek Battlefield has been listed as one of the most threatened sites in the country. It is under constant threat from encroachment by developers, the I-81 Corridor, power line development, and other forces which have demonstrated little regard for preserving this nation's history. Help us by volunteering, or make a donation to the CCBF. Click here.
